MIX ONLINE

What does mixing consist of?

Mixing is the step that takes place after recording and editing (the phase consisting in cleaning the tracks, adjusting them, modifying the structure of the song, etc.).

During mixing, the tracks are mixed and processed independently (EQ, dynamics ...), the effects are added (reverb, delay ...), the accuracy of the voice can also be corrected if necessary, all this in order to create an ensemble harmonious and homogeneous, in which each instrument will be heard and in its place.

What advice can you give me before sending my files for mixing?

Before sending your files, it is essential to have quality sound recordings. The sockets must not saturate (the converter must not go in the red).

Once your recording is complete, you should export your tracks to WAV or AIFF only, making sure that at the time of exporting all tracks start from zero. For example, if an instrument starts playing from 1min30, you need to consolidate your track from the start of the song until the moment the instrument starts playing.

It is important to know that the mixing is the continuity of the recording: for a good mixing, you first need good sound recordings. Mixing is NOT a miracle cure and will not catch up with bad takes.
